Admission to this new doctoral program is highly competitive, with the selected students meeting rigorous GPA requirements and strict limits on course retakes. Browning was granted early admission into the program without completing a bachelor’s degree first, as ASU allows for exceptional candidates who meet all prerequisites. He transitioned into the program after completing 106 out of 127 credit hours for his undergraduate degree at SAU.

McKeehan and Mason graduated cum laude in the spring, both earning Bachelor of Science degrees in agricultural science with a pre-veterinary focus. They completed all necessary prerequisites to secure their places in the upcoming class.

The achievements of these students extend beyond academics; they exemplify the leadership and community spirit that SAU promotes. All three were active in the SAU Pre-Veterinary Club, with Mason serving as a President’s Ambassador for the 2025-2026 academic year. McKeehan and Mason also participated in campus Greek life as members of Sigma Alpha and Phi Mu, respectively. Browning was recognized as a student-athlete in Mulerider Athletics baseball and earned a spot on the Great American Conference Academic Honor Roll.

The ASU College of Veterinary Medicine offers a comprehensive four-year curriculum that includes three years of preclinical education followed by a 12-month series of clinical rotations throughout Arkansas and the Mid-South region.

SAU congratulates these three Muleriders on this significant achievement in their veterinary careers.
