Jonesboro Animal Services is providing the community with two opportunities to support shelter animals this October, in recognition of Adopt a Shelter Dog Month. Donations can be made in person at the Jonesboro Municipal Building on South Church Street or at Jonesboro Animal Services on East Highland Drive. Additionally, community members can order items online and have them shipped directly to the shelter.
In conjunction with these efforts, Animal Services is offering free lifetime microchips for dogs adopted during the month. These microchips contain unique identification numbers that assist in reuniting lost pets with their owners. Officials emphasize that there are various ways to support shelter animals this October, whether through adoption or donations.
