Friskies is launching an initiative involving six college football mascots to assist homeless cats. Beginning on October 7, 2026, the program will donate 10,000 meals to Greater Good Charities each time a participating team scores during a game. This initiative aims to support hungry cats in communities served by these schools.

The mascots are from five universities: Wilbur and Wilma Wildcat from the University of Arizona, Truman the Tiger from the University of Missouri, Will D. Cat from Villanova, Cosmo the Cougar from Brigham Young University, and Aubie the Tiger from Auburn University. Jason Dolan, the brand director at Friskies, noted that this initiative builds upon a successful partnership established with the University of Arizona men’s basketball team earlier this year.

Dolan highlighted how the campaign seeks to leverage the enthusiasm associated with these beloved mascots to raise awareness and provide meals for shelter cats. This expansion of the “Certified Frisky” platform will not only enhance Friskies’ presence in college sports but also engage with game-day traditions. Updates on donation milestones will be shared across the universities’ and Friskies' social media channels throughout the regular college football season.

While focused on football this fall, Dolan indicated that similar campaigns under “Certified Frisky” may also explore other college sports opportunities in the future.
