Katie Paseka, Secretary and Vice President of the organization, advises prospective pet owners to prepare for adjustments, noting that adopted dogs will be adapting to new environments. She highlights the importance of socialization: "Having them out in the public gets them socialized and used to being around people. A lot of adopters like to go to breweries and other events with their dogs. Once they get more socialized, it's a lot easier to get them adopted."
A portion of the proceeds from the event will support the care of the dogs at the rescue's kennels.
