The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) has appointed Abigail Berkowitz as a veterinary assistant at its wildlife hospital located on Sanibel Island. Berkowitz began her position in July and brings significant experience in wildlife rehabilitation and veterinary care.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife & Fisheries Biology from the University of Vermont. Her background includes internships at the Bird Alliance of Oregon Wildlife Care Center in Portland, Oregon, and the Macaw Recovery Network in Costa Rica. Additionally, she has worked in small animal and exotic veterinary medicine.

In her new role, Berkowitz will assist in caring for sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife native to Florida, as well as migratory species.
