Several animal shelters in the Nashville area are collaborating with Mars Petcare for the 18th annual Mars Adoption Weekend, taking place from Friday, October 2 through Sunday, October 4. During this event, adoption fees will be waived at participating locations.

Mars Petcare will partner with the Nashville Humane Association, Metro Animal Care & Control, and the Williamson County Animal Center in Franklin. Employees from Mars will volunteer at the shelters, providing pet supplies and food while assisting prospective adopters in preparing to welcome new pets.
The initiative will fund up to $100,000 in adoption fees for both cats and dogs, supported by the PEDIGREE Foundation which will contribute an additional $25,000 specifically for dog adoptions.
The participating shelters include the Nashville Humane Association located at 213 Oceola Ave. in Nashville, Metro Animal Care & Control at 5125 Harding Place in Nashville, and Williamson County Animal Center at 1006 Grigsby Hayes Court in Franklin. This annual event aims to connect adoptable pets with new families and offers resources to help pet owners throughout the adoption process.
