Perinton, N.Y. — Lollypop Farm will lower adoption fees for nearly two weeks as part of the "Empty the Shelters" event, a national initiative to assist shelter animals in finding homes. This event, organized in partnership with the BISSELL Pet Foundation, runs from September 18 to September 30.

During this period, adoption fees will be reduced to $70 for dogs aged 7 months to 6 years and $50 for cats within the same age range. Fees will be waived for pets aged 6 and older, while puppies and kittens younger than 7 months are not included in this promotion.
Lollypop Farm currently cares for over 400 animals and anticipates an increase in pets needing assistance in the coming weeks. "Through our partnership with Bissell Pet Foundation, we’re able to highlight the wonderful animals we have available for adoption and create needed space, expanding our capacity to provide help to even more pets in our community by reducing barriers to adoption," said Vicky Pape, director of animal placement at Lollypop Farm.
All dogs and cats available for adoption are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. Adoption appointments are required from Friday through Monday and can be scheduled each Wednesday via Lollypop Farm’s website. The organization also runs a foster program for individuals interested in temporarily caring for animals, providing necessary supplies, veterinary care, and support.
