Nevada Humane Society Waives Adoption Fees for Large Dogs

The Nevada Humane Society, in partnership with Hill's Pet Nutrition, is waiving adoption fees for eligible large dogs as part of the "Home Sweet Homecoming" campaign. This initiative runs from September 30 to October 4 and targets dogs aged 6 months and older that weigh 60 pounds or more. The program will be available at both the Reno and Carson City Humane Society locations.

The organization stated that larger dogs often take longer to be adopted compared to smaller breeds and expressed hope that this campaign will help these deserving pets find homes.

Since its inception in 2002, Hill’s Food, Shelter & Love program has assisted over 16 million cats and dogs in finding new homes and has contributed more than $300 million in pet nutrition to shelters, including the Nevada Humane Society.
