A pet adoption event hosted by IJM Land in Seremban, Negri Sembilan, resulted in six rescued dogs finding new homes. The Paws to Home programme, held at S2 Heights Aman, brought together residents and various animal welfare organizations to promote pet adoption and responsible ownership.

Supported by the Seremban District Information Department and several NGOs, the event also saw the neutering of 31 pets and the submission of 12 pet licence applications, along with efforts for vaccination and microchipping. IJM Land's chief operating officer, Datuk Chai Kian Soo, emphasized the responsibility that comes with pet adoption, highlighting the importance of protecting animal well-being.
Chai stated that the event provided a platform for people to engage in responsible pet stewardship, whether through adoption, learning, or supporting animal welfare organizations. The developer also showcased a new pet zone designed for owners and their pets to interact with other animal lovers.
Execute AWA, a national movement aimed at improving animal welfare, featured an educational corner focused on their #ProjekTogetherBoleh initiative, which seeks to address the stray population issue in Malaysia. Founder Sue Ann Kong expressed gratitude for IJM Land's participation in the project.
Other participants included NS Happy Paws and FurryKids Safehaven. NS Happy Paws chairman Jude Ignatius Lazaroo stated that the organization aims to foster safe and respectful cohabitation between communities and animals by engaging in community activities and improving communication with local authorities.
FurryKids Safehaven president Kiran Bhatt noted that their initiatives complement ongoing efforts by the Seremban City Council to enhance stray dog management through licensing, sterilization, rescue operations, and collaboration with NGOs.
The event concluded with IJM Land donating RM1,000 each to NS Happy Paws and FurryKids Safehaven to support their ongoing operations.
