Megan Elkins highlighted the benefits of having a cat, stating, "They’re fun and playful, and they will make you laugh all the time. And when you have a bad day, they sit on your lap and they purr and they just know your feelings. They’re great companions to really make you feel better."
Organizers also pointed out that those unable to adopt can still contribute by fostering or volunteering to assist in relocating cats from crowded shelters to loving homes.
