According to Cats Protection, certain areas in Luton exhibit stray cat populations that are three times higher than the national average. The charity is actively working to manage these colonies through a process of trapping, neutering, and releasing the cats. Lee Gilheany-Pockett, a community adviser for Cats Protection, stated that his team, along with volunteers from various groups, is addressing the issue.
