From Friday, October 2, through Sunday, October 4, several Nashville-area animal shelters will take part in the 18th annual Mars Adoption Weekend, with all adoption fees waived at participating locations.

Mars Petcare is collaborating with the Nashville Humane Association, Metro Animal Care & Control, and the Williamson County Animal Center for this three-day event. Local employees of Mars will volunteer at the shelters, distributing pet supplies and food while assisting prospective adopters in preparing to welcome new pets.
To support the adoption efforts, Mars and its associated pet care brands, along with Adopt A Pet Shelter Plus, will cover up to $100,000 in cat and dog adoption fees during the weekend. Additionally, the PEDIGREE Foundation will contribute up to $25,000 specifically for dog adoption fees.
The participating shelters are located at the Nashville Humane Association, 213 Oceola Ave., Metro Animal Care & Control, 5125 Harding Place, both in Nashville, and the Williamson County Animal Center at 1006 Grigsby Hayes Court in Franklin.
This annual event aims to connect adoptable pets with families while offering resources and guidance for new pet owners throughout the adoption process.
