MOBILE, AL — Reach Out for Animal Rights (ROAR) is joining forces with Fairhope Brewing Company for a dog adoption and sponsorship drive aimed at helping Mobile's shelter dogs find new homes. The event is scheduled for Sunday, May 31, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Fairhope Brewing's location at 656 St. Louis Street in downtown Mobile.

The May Day Adoption and Sponsorship Drive will support the Mobile Animal Shelter and will include live dog adoptions from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., allowing visitors the chance to meet and possibly adopt a new dog. Fairhope Brewing has a longstanding tradition of hosting adoption events, with managing partner Jim Foley noting they have organized around 100 such events over the past 15 years. He expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "It's just so much fun every single time."
ROAR volunteers will be present to facilitate adoptions and encourage attendees to sponsor shelter animals. Foley commended ROAR for their dedication, saying, "The folks at ROAR have been so good and these dogs are so sweet. Every time they do an event with us they do an absolutely fantastic job."
For those not ready to adopt, the event offers an opportunity to interact with shelter animals and support the cause. Foley added, "You might meet your new best friend. It's a great time. You get to meet some new puppies."
The family-friendly event will also feature live music from Troi Arinson, a 50/50 drawing, hourly prizes, and ways to donate directly to help shelter animals. Foley emphasized the importance of socializing the dogs, stating, "It's just going to be a fun Sunday afternoon."
