April Howard, Executive Director of Dorchester Paws, stated, "Our community is strongest when we invest in pets and people together. We know that pet owners want to do what is best for their animals, and access to affordable veterinary care can sometimes be a barrier. Events like Pet Community Day allow us to provide practical resources that can help pets remain happy, healthy members of their households."

Pet Community Day will occur at the Dorchester Heritage Center, located at 101 Ridge Street, on September 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is intended for Dorchester County residents and is limited to four pets per household.
