In the past two weeks alone, 45 cats have been brought to the humane society, increasing the total number of cats to 193, as reported on their Facebook page.
The fee waiver applies from August 24 until the conclusion of their adoption event at the Parlin-Ingersoll Library in Canton on August 29. The organization emphasizes that the initiative is aimed at finding homes for these cats rather than simply giving them away. They stated, “Every kennel that becomes empty gives us a little more breathing room. Every adoption means one less cat waiting. Every family who opens their home makes room for another cat who desperately needs help.”
