Canine Companions is celebrating National Service Dog Month by launching a live "Puppy Cam" that allows viewers to observe seven puppies as they prepare to become service dogs. The featured puppies—Nautilus, Nabuki, Natasha, Navigator, Nathaniel, Noir, and Nebula—are currently at the Canine Companions Headquarters in Santa Rosa, California, before they transition to puppy raisers for further training.

Jo Ottico, the Training Manager at Canine Companions, emphasized the ongoing national shortage of service dogs and volunteers, stating, "There are so many people that can benefit from a service dog, but we just don't have the numbers. We want to have more puppies and get them into the hands of people who need them."
Ottico also noted the organization's urgent need for more volunteers, caretakers, and puppy raisers to aid in expanding their mission. Interested individuals can learn more about their work and watch the Puppy Cam by visiting www.canine.org.
