Firefighters Rescue Dog from 50-Foot Well in South Carolina

WEST PELZER, S.C. - The West Pelzer Fire Department successfully rescued a dog that fell into an abandoned well early Monday morning. Fire crews were dispatched to the scene around 12:30 a.m. after receiving reports of the incident.

The dog fell approximately 50 feet into the well but was retrieved safely and returned to its owner. Following the rescue, firefighters were called to respond to an outbuilding fire at 4:11 a.m.

Assisting in the rescue efforts were the Anderson Technical Rescue Team, Anderson City Fire Department, Williamston Fire Department, and Whitefield Fire Department.
