Cincinnati Shelter Lists Kitten with Spinal Injury for Adoption

Gelato, a kitten who captured the hearts of many with his homemade wheelchair, is now available for adoption at Cincinnati Animal CARE. Rescued alongside four other kittens, Gelato was found to have a spinal injury. Initially, the shelter's team crafted a wheelchair from cardboard, zip ties, and Hot Wheels to help him move. An engineer later created a more robust, 3D-printed version.

The shelter advises that Gelato's future family will need to collaborate with a veterinarian for ongoing therapy. He requires assistance with urination, and his litter box training is still in progress.
