The 2026 Pet Innovation Awards, organized by the Independent Innovation Awards, recognize innovators in the pet industry dedicated to developing solutions that improve the welfare and experiences of pets. Submissions were welcomed from companies worldwide.

Courtney Gruber, President of Lovet Pet Health Care, expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that Lovet Essentials was created to address common barriers to quality veterinary services by offering a bundled preventative care plan with a predictable monthly payment. Gruber highlighted the challenges pet owners face when making health decisions for their animals and underscored Lovet's commitment to simplifying primary care to promote early health interventions and better outcomes for pets.

A recent survey conducted for the 2026 Lovet Checkup Report, which involved 2,000 U.S. pet owners, revealed significant insights into pet healthcare challenges. Notably, 91% of respondents indicated they would consider incurring debt to save their pets, and 37% had either used credit or cut back on essential expenses to manage veterinary costs. Despite this commitment, 46% reported that rising veterinary fees had led them to delay or forgo necessary care.

Lovet Essentials is conceived as an annual primary care plan available through monthly payments, designed to protect pets' health while providing pet owners with peace of mind. The plan aims to reduce costs by at least 25% annually by combining key preventative services into a single payment. It includes two options: Lovet Adult Essentials and Lovet Early Essentials, the latter tailored for younger pets. Key features include a flexible anesthesia credit for procedures, unlimited exams, core vaccinations, and discounts on additional services.
