SINGAPORE – Carl, a 1½-year-old tuxedo cat, has been named the Shelter Star of the Month for his friendly demeanor and low-maintenance companionship. This cat enjoys quiet activities, such as sitting by his humans, watching the world through the window, and occasionally soliciting treats.

Though Carl may initially be shy around newcomers, he quickly reveals his affectionate nature once he feels secure. He is playful and loves interacting with those he trusts.
Carl's journey has not been easy; he was found abandoned, malnourished, and unsterilized. While little is known about his previous life, his rescuers are optimistic that he will find the loving home he deserves in this next chapter. He is sterilized, vaccinated, and microchipped, with negative tests for FIV and FeLV.
Carl is looking for a safe, loving environment, ideally with a cozy sofa, a window, opportunities for play, and tasty treats. Those interested in adopting Carl or one of his fellow shelter mates can reach out to Purely Meow, the cat division of the animal welfare group Purely Adoptions, at shorturl.at/yF4bi. All potential adopters must provide a cat-proof home and undergo a pre-adoption visit. Purely Adoptions is a non-profit organization committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding forever homes for stray and abandoned pets in Singapore.
