Mochi, previously known as Claude, is a five-year-old Domestic Shorthair rescue cat who recently found a new home after losing his previous owner. His first day with his adoptive family began with his new mother holding him closely, shedding happy tears as they bonded. Upon arriving at Animal Haven, Mochi had been understandably cautious, spending time in a moving box during the ride with his new owners, Fiona and Kyle.

Initially, he preferred to stay inside his box and took his time adjusting to his unfamiliar surroundings. However, the transformation was noticeable by the end of the day; Mochi was seen lounging on a sunny desk, playing with toys, and enjoying cuddles from his new family.
Fiona and Kyle learned that Mochi is deaf, which has influenced their approach to his care. They celebrated his birthday with a cake and a little bandana, followed by cozy time under a blanket with his new mom and dad.
A video of Mochi's journey to his new home has garnered over 96,000 likes, with comments expressing gratitude for his adoption. Many viewers appreciated Fiona and Kyle for giving an adult cat like Mochi a second chance.
