Whisker to Waive Cat Adoption Fees at Best Friends Animal Society Locations in June

Whisker, the company behind Litter-Robot, is collaborating with Best Friends Animal Society to eliminate adoption fees at select locations across the U.S. for the entire month of June. This initiative aims to help more cats find loving homes by removing the financial barrier to adoption.

During this campaign, adopters can also enter a giveaway to win a Litter-Robot 4 Best Friends Bundle, which is intended to simplify life with a new cat from day one. Hew Loyd, CMO of Whisker, emphasized the joy and companionship cats bring, stating that making adoption fees easier to waive supports their mission of uniting pets and families.

Julie Castle, CEO of Best Friends Animal Society, expressed excitement about the partnership during National Adopt a Cat Month, highlighting that the number of cats euthanized in shelters has reached a historic low. She noted that collaborations with companies like Whisker are vital for increasing adoption rates and reducing unnecessary cat deaths.

This fee waiver typically amounts to $100 for adult cats and $150 for kittens. Participating Best Friends locations include:

- Best Friends Pet Lifesaving Center, Houston, TX

- Best Friends Pet Resource Center, Bentonville, AR

- Best Friends Pet Adoption Center, Salt Lake City, UT

- Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Kanab, UT

- Best Friends temporary adoption location in Brooklyn, NY, starting June 6

These locations will offer a variety of cats, from playful kittens to older, long-stay residents, ready to be adopted. In its fourth year, this initiative showcases Whisker’s commitment to enhancing the welfare of pets and their caregivers, having supported the adoption of over 25,000 cats through Best Friends Animal Society since the partnership began.
