In light of this, the shelter is urgently seeking fosters and adopters to help alleviate the overcrowding. To encourage adoption, all available dogs and cats are being offered for just $5. This adoption fee includes spay/neuter procedures, microchipping, and vaccinations.
For those unable to adopt, the shelter encourages temporarily fostering a dog to provide much-needed kennel space. Evansville Animal Care & Control is located at 815 Uhlhorn St., and is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
