Bonnie Jean Golf Tournament to Support Nate's Honor Animal Rescue on October 3

The first annual Bonnie Jean Golf Tournament, benefiting Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue, will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at The Preserve at Tara in Bradenton. The event invites golfers from across the Suncoast to participate in a morning of fun on the course while supporting homeless pets.

Organized by Bonnie Jean Bar & Grill, located at 7310 Tara Preserve Lane, the tournament will kick off with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Participants can compete and enjoy camaraderie while aiding a local animal-rescue organization, as confirmed on the tournament's official page.

Registration fees are set at $250 per foursome, with a $350 option that includes hole sponsorship. Additional hole sponsors, cash donations, and items for a silent auction and raffles are also being sought by organizers.

In addition to the round of golf, the day will feature various challenges and contests, a 50/50 raffle, and prizes. A highlight of the event is a hole-in-one contest where players will have a chance to win a car. Notably, the tournament will include an appearance by the John Daly’s Good Boy Team.

Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue, the beneficiary of the event, is a nonprofit organization based in Bradenton dedicated to helping homeless, abandoned, and injured dogs and cats. Its Ranch Adoption Center is located at 4951 Lorraine Road and provides a wide range of community services, including fostering and volunteer programs, a pet food bank, low-cost spay and neuter services, lost-and-found assistance, and animal surrender resources.

The organization is currently launching its Journey Home expansion campaign to increase its capacity to care for animals, particularly by expanding dog facilities and creating a new area for cats. Community donations are crucial for providing medical treatment, shelter, and daily care for the animals awaiting adoption.

Bonnie Jean Bar & Grill, established in 2026, serves as a community hub, making it a fitting venue for the golf tournament. All proceeds from the event will remain within the local area to benefit Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue.
