This troupe features trained house cats, many of whom are former orphans, rescues, and strays. Their 90-minute performance includes stunts such as skateboarding, jumping through hoops, and balancing on exercise balls. The show concludes with the unique band Tuna and the Skele-Cats, showcasing cats performing on guitar, drums, and piano, accompanied by the Jazz Cats on saxophone, trumpet, and clarinet.
The Acro-Cats’ performances support Rock Cats Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to cat welfare, rescue, and adoption, promoting positive reinforcement training for cats. Since its founding in 2009, Rock Cats Rescue has helped find homes for hundreds of cats and kittens.
In addition to their appearance in the Netflix series Cat People, the Amazing Acro-Cats have also been featured on shows like The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl, CBS News Sunday Morning, and PBS Nova's “Cat Tales.” Most recently, they were highlighted on the podcast This Past Weekend with Theo Von.
The performances will take place at the Looby Theater, located at 2301 Rosa L Parks Blvd, Nashville, Tennessee 37228.
