New Delhi: Pet owners in the capital can now easily manage their pets' healthcare needs with a new online services platform launched by the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) for its Moti Bagh veterinary hospital. This initiative allows owners to avoid lengthy queues for outpatient consultations and facilitates easy access to vaccinations and surgeries.

The platform enables pet owners to register their pets and book appointments for various services, including outpatient consultations, vaccinations, and surgeries. It also offers automated vaccination reminders sent to registered mobile numbers, and allows users to check doctor availability and service status online.
A senior veterinary doctor noted that most of the services provided through this platform will be free of charge. Previously, pet owners had to visit the hospital in person to check doctor availability, book appointments, undergo X-rays, or obtain health certificates for travel or boarding. Now, they can access online pet registration, OPD appointment bookings, vaccination scheduling, digital vaccination certificates, and pet health records.
The online platform will also provide digital medical records and online health certificates, along with learning resources on pet health and responsible pet ownership. The service is not limited to cats and dogs; it also accommodates birds, goats, and horses for treatment and vaccination. NDMC emphasizes that while they offer medical care to all animals, anti-rabies and general vaccinations are restricted to dogs residing within the NDMC area.
NDMC council member Sarita Tomar highlighted that the newly constructed veterinary hospital is designed to be spacious and organized for better visitor experience. Chairman Manoj Kumar Dwivedi added that NDMC is also moving towards a paperless registration system for births and deaths, allowing various corrections and registrations to be handled online.
