One recent success story is Duke, who was adopted by Deputy County Counsel Sims Ely. Duke quickly formed a bond with his new family, which includes a cat named Opal and a Boston Terrier named Mr. Man. Although still a playful puppy who enjoys chewing and digging, Duke has a kind disposition and has adapted well to his new home. Despite some initial challenges with potty training and leash pulling, he has demonstrated significant improvement and now exhibits good manners.
Duke has become a favorite among dog park visitors and is celebrated for his friendly demeanor. His new family is thrilled to have him and eagerly anticipates many enjoyable years together.
For those considering adding a pet to their family, the Nevada County Animal Shelter encourages adoption, emphasizing that with patience and understanding, shelter animals can make wonderful companions. More information about adoptable pets can be found at sammiesfriends.org.
