TC Paw Cat Rescue Secures Grant to Aid Homeless Cats

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) - TC Paw Cat Rescue is ramping up its efforts to help homeless cats as winter temperatures drop, following a $1,200 Animal Welfare Endowment Grant from the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation. This funding supports their "4 Cats from the Streets to Home" initiative.

Lisa Chimner, president of TC Paw Cat Rescue, highlighted the significance of the grant, noting an increase in calls regarding outdoor cats in need of shelter as the cold weather sets in. The grant, awarded in November, provides $300 per cat for essential veterinary care, which includes spay/neuter services, vaccinations, and food, aimed at transitioning four Grand Traverse County cats from life on the streets to secure homes.
