The event, organized in collaboration with the Polish Small Animal Veterinary Association (PSAVA) and the Federation of European Companion Animal Veterinary Associations (FECAVA), will focus on the significance of nutrition in veterinary care. Topics will include canine atopic dermatitis, antimicrobial stewardship, and feline kidney disease.
Dr. Marianne Lomberg, Head of Purina Institute, noted the importance of the congress for sharing scientific knowledge that can enhance veterinary practices. "The WSAVA World Congress offers an important opportunity to listen, learn and share science that can make a difference in everyday veterinary practice," she said. "Through our ongoing partnership with WSAVA, we are helping make nutrition knowledge more accessible and actionable so veterinary teams can support healthier, longer lives for pets."
In addition to its participation in the congress, Purina Institute is involved in various WSAVA committees that aim to apply scientific research in practical settings. This involvement includes collaborations with the Nutrition, Education, Animal Welfare, and Wellness Committees, as well as contributions related to One Health and Therapeutics Committees. The organization also supports initiatives through regional Continuing Education events, an annual webinar series, and the WSAVA Nutrition Guidelines Course.
Purina Institute aims to make evidence-based nutrition science readily available to empower veterinary teams and promote its central role in pet health discussions.
