Josie Hantonne, fundraising officer at NAWT, expressed gratitude to all attendees and supporters, stating that the generosity of the guests is instrumental in turning the vision for a new rescue centre into reality. This initiative aims to provide an improved environment for the many animals awaiting permanent homes.
The event featured actor Peter Egan as host and included performances from Rak Su and Elite Elton, along with a raffle, silent auction, and a live auction conducted by Paul Martin, a BBC antiques dealer. Auction highlights included a dog-friendly weekend getaway, tickets to Ricky Gervais' sold-out shows in Watford, and naming rights for a kennel block at the new centre.
Corporate sponsors such as PetPlan, Service Innovation Group, Mediahawk, and Pet Database also supported the event. For those interested in further involvement or donations, NAWT can be contacted at 0208 950 0177 or via email at [email protected].
