Stray Kitten Rescued and Adopted in Seneca Falls

SENECA FALLS, N.Y. — A stray kitten trapped in a maintenance building at an apartment complex was rescued thanks to a group of local children who alerted the authorities. The Seneca Falls Police Department reported that Sgt. Kidd responded to the scene after the children expressed concern for the kitten's safety.

Upon arrival, Sgt. Kidd successfully freed the kitten from its predicament. The happy ending continued as the children’s family offered the kitten a permanent home, providing it with a safe indoor environment.

The police department commended the children's compassion and initiative in seeking help for the stray animal, stating, "Bravo to the children who cared and called for assistance," on social media. A photo shared by the department features the children alongside Sgt. Kidd and their new pet.

Officers expressed hope that the kitten quickly adjusts to its new family life, emphasizing that not all calls to the department concern criminal activity; some lead to joyful outcomes like this rescue.
