In the video, Kim revealed that before coming to her, Mimi was unspayed and kept alone in a room. Following the loss of her previous cats, Mari and Lulu, Mimi became the only female cat in Kim's household. Kim described Mimi as curious and playful, enthusiastic about exploring her new environment.
The actress recounted the moment she learned about Mimi. She received a rescue request from someone who could no longer care for the cat. The request emphasized the need for someone knowledgeable about cats, ideally an actor. Although Kim receives numerous such requests and typically avoids opening them, she felt compelled to respond to this one. "My stomach ached for several days after seeing it. I decided I had to bring her home," she said.
Initially, Kim was concerned about how Mimi would interact with her existing cats, so she kept her in a separate room with a cat door. However, she soon discovered Mimi's impressive jumping skills, which allowed her to escape. Kim noted that having Mimi around added liveliness to her home, stating that she laughed frequently thanks to her new feline companion.
