Mandy Dale Appointed Professional Development Curriculum Manager at PCVM

"I am deeply passionate about creating a culture where meaningful conversations are encouraged, and communication is recognized as an essential part of professional growth," Dale stated.

Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Dale holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Education. In 2025, she began her Doctor of Education in adult learning, focusing her research on communication pedagogy within veterinary medicine.

Before joining Clemson, Dale spent 15 years in professional theatre, during which she developed an interest in simulation training and learner assessment. She later earned a Certificate in Conflict Coaching from the Justice Institute of British Columbia.

Dale's work has included high-performance coaching with the Canadian Olympic Committee, where she designed a specialized curriculum using professional actors and role-play to train Olympic coaches and high-performance directors in conflict management. "It was an honor to be involved in that program for nearly eight years," she remarked.

In 2016, Dale shifted her focus to higher education and served as a Professional Skills Advisor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Calgary. In January 2024, she moved with her family to Saint Kitts to work as an assistant professor in clinical sciences at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she taught clinical communication, coordinated a professionalism program, and facilitated colleague training and development.

At PCVM, Dale aims to foster foundational growth by building collaborative partnerships across the University and nurturing a resilient generation of veterinarians engaged with both the campus and the broader community. She and her family are excited to join Clemson and become part of the Upstate community, expressing enthusiasm with a heartfelt "Go Tigers!"
