Companion Animal Care (CAC) of Brevard County is organizing its third annual fundraiser, 'Rock the Paws,' on April 19 from 1 to 6 p.m. at American Legion Post #117, located at 189 Veterans Drive in Palm Bay. The organization is dedicated to providing foster and adoptive homes for pets belonging to senior citizens and disabled veterans who are dealing with health-related issues.

Christine Evans, founder and president of CAC, stated that the organization aims to support seniors and veterans by rehoming or fostering their pets during times when they cannot care for them due to hospitalization, rehabilitation, or surgery.
The event will feature crafts, raffles, and auctions, with numerous raffle baskets available thanks to generous contributions from the community. Local artists, including Joe Kaluti, will be providing live music throughout the day. Attendees can also enjoy food trucks, two full bars, and barbecue, along with an Elvis impersonator.
Proceeds from 'Rock the Paws' will support CAC's mission and its 'Paw Pantry,' which distributes pet food to local food pantries to assist those in need. For more information about Companion Animal Care, visit companionanimalcarebcfl.org or their Facebook page.
