Shelby County, Tennessee will host a free pet vaccination drive-thru event on Saturday, July 19, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pet owners can obtain rabies and parvovirus vaccinations, microchips, and pet license tags for dogs and cats at Millington Primary School, located at 6445 William Osteen Drive in Millington.

The event is organized by the Shelby County Health Department in collaboration with All 4s Rescue League. Vaccinations will be administered on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Pet owners are advised to keep their animals on leashes or in carriers and to show respect while waiting in their vehicles.
Dr. Bruce Randolph, Interim Director-Health Officer of the Shelby County Health Department, emphasized the importance of rabies vaccinations, stating, "Rabies is a serious health threat. Unvaccinated pets can be exposed to rabies when they encounter a wild animal with the virus. If they develop rabies, they may pass the virus on to humans. Protecting pets against rabies also protects our children, friends, and neighbors from this deadly virus."
