Fox Marquette Subaru to Cover Adoption Fees for UPAWS Animals in October

SANDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WBUP/WJMN) — Throughout October, Fox Marquette Subaru will pay adoption fees for dogs and cats aged six months and older at the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter (UPAWS), up to a total of $4,000 in grant funding. This initiative runs from October 1 to October 31 as part of the 2026 Subaru Loves Pets program.

In addition to this, UPAWS is waiving adoption fees for small animals throughout the month, although this excludes reptiles. The adoption packages will include spay or neuter surgery, initial vaccinations, a microchip, and other services. No appointment is necessary to adopt, and prospective pet owners can view available animals on the UPAWS website.
