The nonprofit organization, which relies on foster homes and community donations, has reported a dramatic rise in intake requests and emergency medical cases, including numerous bottle-baby kittens that require round-the-clock care. The organization stated, "Every day, we are receiving calls about abandoned, orphaned, sick, and injured kittens, and our rescue is struggling to keep up with the overwhelming need."
Some of the kittens have been rescued from hazardous conditions, including those found in dumpsters. Nashville Cat Rescue provides critical services such as emergency veterinary care, spaying and neutering, vaccinations, and supplies for neonatal kittens.
The organization has expressed concern that without increased funding, it may have to turn away animals in need due to a lack of resources.
