The American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) Board approved the VOHC Seal for worldwide use in both consumer and veterinary markets. While VETRADENT Dental Wipes are marketed for both dogs and cats, the seal specifically pertains to dogs, based on clinical data submitted by Dechra.

Dr. Tara Culley, Dental Medical Affairs Lead at Dechra, expressed her enthusiasm about the award, stating, “We are thrilled to receive the VOHC Seal for our VETRADENT Dental Wipes. This recognition reinforces our commitment to supporting veterinarians and pet owners with high-quality, evidence-based dental care products that promote better long-term oral health.”

Dental disease is a growing concern, with nine out of ten dogs affected by periodontal disease by their first birthday, highlighting the necessity for preventive oral care products and professional veterinary services. Dr. Jan Bellows, DVM, Dipl. AVDC, ABVP, recommends VETRADENT Wipes as his top choice for controlling plaque and tartar.

In addition to the wipes, other VETRADENT products that have received the VOHC Seal include the VETRADENT Liquid Water Additive and the VETRADENT Powder Water Additive. The Dental Wipes are designed to enhance oral hygiene by reducing tartar buildup, with clinical studies showing significant reductions in plaque, tartar, and gingivitis scores. These wipes are large for ease of use and contain no xylitol, alcohol, or chlorhexidine.
