LAS VEGAS — The Animal Foundation is introducing a program named Doggy Days Out, where members of the community can take shelter dogs on foster field trips throughout October. Participants can take a dog for a few hours up to two weeks for activities such as hiking at Mt. Charleston or enjoying time at home and dining on dog-friendly patios.

The Animal Foundation emphasizes that these outings can boost a dog’s mental well-being and increase their chances of adoption. A recent study indicated that dogs who participated in similar outings were five times more likely to be adopted.
Those who join the program will receive two free passes to Play Playground at the Luxor Hotel. To participate, individuals must fill out a foster field trip application and visit the foster window at the Adoptions Center for more information.
