Crepe, a delicate 1½-year-old cat weighing only 3 kilograms, was recently taken in by Animal Refuge Kansai (ARK) along with three of her siblings after her previous owner moved to a no-pet apartment. Initially, Crepe was extremely timid and would not engage with her surroundings, often remaining still and unresponsive, possibly hoping her previous life would return.

However, Crepe has started to explore her new environment. She is becoming more adventurous and will approach humans for affection, particularly when food is offered. She has also discovered the joy of playing with toys, embracing her playful kitten side.

ARK hopes to find Crepe a new home, ideally with one of her siblings, to help boost her confidence. Interested adopters can contact ARK via email at [email protected] or by phone at 050-1557-2763, available Monday to Saturday in English and Japanese. Founded by U.K. native Elizabeth Oliver, ARK is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned animals in the Kansai and Tokyo regions. All animals are vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, and prospective owners must undergo a screening process. More information can be found at www.arkbark.jp.
