On Monday, the White House presented the designs for the 2027 Working Dogs Commemorative Coin Program. John Miller, President and CEO of America’s VetDogs, explained that commemorative coins have specific legislative requirements. Only two coins can be approved each year, necessitating 290 co-sponsors in the House for a vote to take place. Miller noted that it took two Congresses to achieve approval, as they were unable to finalize the initiative in the first session and had to begin anew in the second.
