Mars, along with its shelter partners, is addressing common concerns that may discourage adoptions, such as uncertainties regarding a pet’s medical history, behavior, and compatibility with new households.
As part of this initiative, Mars and its pet care brands, in collaboration with Adopt A Pet Shelter Plus, will cover up to $100,000 in adoption fees for cats and dogs at participating shelters across the U.S., including the Williamson County Animal Center. Additionally, the PEDIGREE Foundation will offer up to $25,000 in support for dog adoption fees at participating shelters and rescues.
New pet owners will receive adoption kits containing pet food and essential supplies.
The Williamson County Animal Center is located at 1006 Grigsby Hayes Court in Franklin and is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. It is closed on Sundays, with hours subject to change during holidays.
