Norman Animal Shelter Partners with Dog Is My CoPilot to Transport 74 Pets for Adoption

NORMAN, Okla. (KOKH) — The Norman Animal Welfare team has collaborated with the non-profit Dog Is My CoPilot to fly 74 animals to adoption centers in Colorado and Oregon. Dog Is My CoPilot specializes in relocating pets from overcrowded, high-kill shelters to areas where they can be adopted.

This partnership has successfully helped over 1,000 animals from Norman's shelter secure new homes. The Norman Police Department praised the Animal Welfare team's dedication and highlighted the importance of the partnership for enabling lifesaving efforts.

"We’re incredibly proud of our Animal Welfare team for the care and hard work they put in every day, and grateful for our friends at Dog Is My CoPilot for a partnership that literally takes lifesaving work to the skies," the department stated.
