Southeast Missouri Pets Celebrates 50 Years with Anniversary Event

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Southeast Missouri Pets (SEMO Pets) will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Saturday, September 26, with a party taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will include complimentary hot dogs and cotton candy, live music, a photo booth, face painting, a bounce house, and special adoption offers. The first 50 attendees will receive a free SEMO Pets T-shirt.

Jenn Farmer, executive director of SEMO Pets, expressed pride in reaching this milestone, emphasizing the important role of volunteers, donors, fosters, adopters, and supporters in making a difference for animals over the years. Farmer stated that the celebration aims to thank the community and provide a fun experience for all.

The shelter is located at 180 Weston Street in Cape Girardeau.
