CPSV Marketing and Communications Manager Rachel Bitzilis explained that many cats entering their care often arrive fearful or overwhelmed, with little prior positive human interaction. The Nurture and Enrichment Hub aims to offer a calm environment where these cats can receive tailored enrichment and socialization, helping them to become suitable for adoption.
Bitzilis emphasized that not every cat is ready for adoption immediately and that some require time and a safe environment to regain confidence. The Hub will provide this necessary support, allowing cats to decompress and showcase their true personalities, ultimately facilitating their journey to loving homes.
Funds raised from the International Cat Day celebrations will benefit the Hub by financing resources and support tailored to cats and kittens in need. Community members can contribute through donations and sponsorships to provide essential items that enhance feline wellbeing.
One of the key fundraising events will be the Purr-suit of Knowledge International Cat Day Trivia Party, scheduled for August 7 at Welcome to Thornbury. This event will unite cat enthusiasts and CPSV supporters for a night of trivia while raising funds for cats requiring extra care.
