Mauro Tutzo recently welcomed new neighbors to his apartment complex, which he saw as a chance for companionship while working from home. The black-and-tan dog, named Never, took to Mauro's home immediately, enjoying treats and playtime. Mauro noted that Never's owner allowed him access to the balcony during the day, but the dog didn't enjoy being alone. "Honestly, he's the neediest dog ever," Mauro said. "He wants attention all the time, and if you stop petting him, he gets annoyed."
Mauro welcomed this affectionate behavior, noting that when he woke up the next day, Never was at his sliding glass door waiting to visit again. Mauro then decided to give Never a grooming session with a steam brush, which the dog seemed to enjoy. Afterward, Never napped and returned home when his owners got back from work.
This routine continued day after day, with Mauro preparing various toys for Never, including a toothbrush-like toy meant to help clean the dog's teeth. Their bond grew stronger, and Mauro expressed how much he missed Never during times they were apart. "I hadn't seen him for about two days… it was so sad. Two days of absolute depression," Mauro said.
Fortunately, Never's family returned shortly, allowing the two friends to resume their daily visits. Mauro appreciates that while he enjoys Never's company, he also feels content knowing that the dog is well-cared for at home.
