The post has garnered over 280 likes and more than 110 comments. Two videos shared in the post show a woman in a white cap and face mask appearing to throw items at the cat as it fled near a bicycle parking area. In the first video, she is filmed from behind a wall, while the second shows the man confronting her directly as she splashes water at the cat. He can be heard asking, “Eh, what you doing?” and later expresses his disbelief by saying in Malay, “You crazy, why you doing this?” as the woman walks away. A photo of the cat resting with its eyes closed accompanied the post.

The man, identified as Alif, spoke to Stomp and explained that the videos were recorded on separate occasions. The first video captured the woman throwing kibble on September 30, and the second, showing her splashing water, was taken on October 3. Alif lives in a block opposite the woman's residence and, until recently, was unaware of her actions until he noticed the usually friendly cat becoming distressed in her presence.

Alif mentioned that he began filming for evidence after hearing from other community members about her treatment of the cats. During his confrontation, the woman called him “crazy” before leaving the scene. Alif expressed hope for a resolution that promotes peaceful coexistence.

Stomp has reached out to NParks and the Jurong-Clementi-Bukit Batok Town Council for comments. Netizens have commended Alif for his actions, with many expressing concern for the cat's well-being. One user commented, “Thank you for confronting her... Protect our community cats,” while others described the situation as heartbreaking.
