To encourage adoptions, the Humane Society has reduced fees amid an influx of new animals. Adult cats, over one year old, can be adopted for $30, while kittens are available for $40. The shelter also has a senior-to-senior program, allowing senior cats to be adopted for $25. Long-term resident dogs that have been at the shelter for six months or longer are $100.
Humane Society officials stress the importance of finding these animals their forever homes and are inviting the public to visit the shelter. Additionally, the organization is seeking volunteers and accepting online donations through OhioSPCA.org.
