The platform will be updated daily and will send alerts through text, email, and local announcements if the risk levels in a specific area fluctuate.

Dr. Magdoline Awad, chief veterinary officer at Greencross Pet Wellness Company, emphasized the educational benefits of PetWatch for pet owners. Scott Charters, chief operating officer of Petbarn, noted that on average, pets remain unprotected for about 5-8 months each year, resulting in preventable illnesses and fatalities. He expressed a commitment to finding solutions to this serious issue for the sake of pets.
