This campus serves as the home for the organization’s breeding dogs and where Seeing Eye puppies are born and raised for their first few months before they are placed with volunteer puppy raisers.

The enhancements to the campus include the installation of astroturf, new play equipment, sun shades, and a mini water park, which has already attracted the attention of Labrador retrievers, golden retrievers, and German shepherds. The water features were supported by the Sol & Margaret Berger Foundation.

Additional improvements feature fetch yards for individual play sessions, expanded walking paths for volunteers, and an accessible visitor path that includes displays that explain puppy development stages and the experiences of breeding dogs while at the campus.

Senator Anthony M. Bucco remarked, “A great day at The Seeing Eye for the ribbon cutting for the Chester Campus Outdoor Enrichment project (Doggie Playground)!”

Assemblyman Mike Inganamort also congratulated The Seeing Eye, stating, “Congratulations to The Seeing Eye on today’s opening of the Chester Campus Outdoor Enrichment Project, made possible by the Margaret A. Darrin Charitable Trust. Every Seeing Eye dog is born right here in Chester Township, and now they and their moms will have more outdoor space to build their strength and agility.”

The Seeing Eye expressed gratitude to the donors, staff, and volunteers who contributed to the project, emphasizing that the dogs are already enjoying their new play areas.
